I saw the one you got on RFF, and really think you did well especially considering Henry did the complete overhaul on it. Sure beats the wait times on his CLAs. Hopefully I get mine back by this fall. I would be pumped too. Post some images taken with it if you are not too pumped to hold it steady.

thanks bob. if the mail gets it right the camera should be in my hands on wednesday. i have a roll of film just waiting and ready.
i had a kiev very briefly a few years ago and enjoyed the experience so i can only imagine what a real contax will feel like. especially one that has been worked on. pics will foloow...

I hope it gets to you quickly Joe... I understand your excitement! One of these days I will get a post war Contax, but my II is so nice that I don't really 'need' one. I look forward to seeing some pics...

Nice looking camera! How do you find the softie? Did the camera need it, or is using one something you are just used to?

I've got a 1937 Contax II. Takes great pictures and I feel guilty that I almost never use it.

i hope to avoid those pangs of guilt wayne. the plan is to use it as a leisure time camera, long walks on a warm afternoon kind of thing.

Very, very nice. Almost makes me want to go look for one myself...........wait a minute...I collect Mamiya....get thee behind me! ...if I get started, I will collect one of everything...it's a sickness, I tell you...a real sickness...this "collecting" urge............. But that's a nice instrument you got there...looking forward to seeing your pictures!

an update... i've had one pretty good outing with my lla but the weather has been too bloody cold to enjoy more than a short walk with the dog. the czj 50/2 lens is remarkably sharp and i was lucky enough to find a reconditioned cz 50/1.5 lens that is in better shape than the 50/2. i hope you don't mind a photo of the lla with 50/1.5
