My father owned a Hudson just like this one when I was a kid. Only his was brown. I always thought it looked like a giant bug! I hated the car...only because my fingers used to get pinched in the hinged levers on the folding armrest in the back seat!

Bob, I thought you would like that. Hey....you outta see my 1/18 scale diecast Hudsons. One '53 and one '52. Let's put it this way, the wing windows move, the glove compartment door opens, the seats not only pivot, but slide back and forth. There is an emergency brake cable, and the hood hinges have real springs. Trunk, hood, and doors open. If the motor could start, you could drive them...by the way, when the rear wheels turn, the fan revolves! Nice!

they sound great!! tell me are they the ones made by Hwy 61 (or something like that)? I had a couple of them when I lived in NJ (in my previous life). Unfortunately they did not make the move with me.

My '52 is black and cream, and the '53 is in a dark metallic red like the one somebody posted the other day.
