So what were you expecting then? Photographed (Topcon R) in front of my home in Ceylon (Sri lanka) 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. Thought that would surprise a few of you! Note the numberplate - it caused riots in Jaffna and really started the troubles off that last to this day, for it was the Singhalese symbol for "Sri" (as in Sri Lanka) and as they spoke Tamil, they didn't want that character on their cars. parked underneath the "Jam Fruit" tree whose fruit was a curse as it stuck firm to the paintwork! For those of you who know Ceylon, we lived at Moratuwa which is on the coast, 12 miles south of Colombo Paul
