Tried out my Minolta XG-1 that looks ever so nice and my Sears (Ricoh) Auto/TLS today. The 50mm f2 on the Ricoh has clean clear glass but three dents where someone (not me) used pliers to straighten out. The Minolta looks pristine except..... the rear covering was missing so I figured good enuff till I try it out. Wrongo, those two holes beneath the leather go all the way through to the pressure plate as seen here: and here: Talk about ruin a roll of film and results with 2 lenses. (also used my Soligor T mount Preset 105 f2.8) Ricoh battered though it may be came thru like a trooper. and . Guess I'm batting 50/50 today. Tommorrow I'll try Zorki C vs. Fed NKVD. Battle of the collapsible 50 f3.5's. Wish me luck and no more foolish oopsies.

Hi Ron, Yes, guess I should use a little common sense and hold a flashlight to any hole in a camera body to inspect for light before I use it. I'm known to my friends for grabbing two cameras, a few lenses and a lens cloth and out the door I go. Usually I have problems with 1 of the cameras somehow or another. Last fall I got brave and took 2 SLR's, 2 Rf's, and 11 (yep, 11) lenses for a four mile walk in the bush. Wasn't untill I got to the far end of the trail that I realised that most of the lenses were T mount....minus the T mount adapters. Doh!!! I had lens caps on but forgot to install the adapters.

Hi Randy, Red lizard would be cool but I've already started the job in....wait for it....silver. I also have a big chunk of royal blue I bought and if all else fails, I have basic black too. Thanks for the offer though, now you've got me curious to see which of my oldies would like a red jacket.
