At least I think this is what they are called ;D. The light was rather evercast. Good for portraits but not too interesting for detail pictures. More to come. Phil

They were called a roundhouse in this part of the globe. The last time I looked there was still an operating roundhouse for our streetcars ( aka trams, trollies) at Davenport and Bathurst streets in Toronto. It might be gone now though.

I will have to get to the town of Junee and get some shots of the roundhouse there. It is the largest one in Australia and is still in operation.

The Davenport/Bathurst roundhouse is now a condominium. One wall is semi circular as a concession, I suppose, to the past. The condo is surrounded on three sides by streetcar storage and repair yards as was the old roundhouse. Sad
