When I'm killing some time during a lunch break I often walk over to the Union Pacific Main Line, about a block from the office a snap a few shots of whatever comes down the track. The other day it was a "local", dropping off cars at various sidings. Union Pacific locomotives are always fun to shoot because they are so colorful. I probably wouldn't be nearly as interested if the track belonged to Northern Pacific of Burlington (if those two railroads still exist). Nikon F3 - Vivitar 35-85mm f2.8 lens, Kodak Gold 200 film.

Purty nice Wayne, looks like they're changing crews. The Burlington Northern merged with the Santa Fe.

Actually they stopped to uncouple from part of the train so they could spot some cars. Nampa, about six miles down the road, is where they change crews on mainline freights.
