I just happened to pass this truck and had my Pentax *ist-DS with me. I guess Henry Ford's basic black didn't suit. Walker

Absolutely wonderful pictures Walker. They could grace the cover of any old truck magazine I know. I think Henry Ford would have been proud and I'm sure the owner is too.

Walker: Neat photos of a neat truck! Old Henry would probably wish he had thought of the color!

Walker, That is a beautiful truck and photos. What lens did you use? Bob Bob - and everyone else who has commented - thanks for the nice words. When I bought the *ist-DS, I only got the body. I paired it with a Sigma 18~50mm AF zoom and have been very pleased with it's performance. I also have a 15~30mm Sigma AF zoom and it's also very good IMO. I use it for taking the interiors of homes where wider is better. Recently, I purchased a 16mm f/2.8 Zenitar in M42 mount. It's MUCH smaller than the 15~30mm Sigma and I thought it might work for interiors. It's sharp and gives an excellent image but gives too much barrel distortion whereas the Sigma will tilt vertical lines at the edge of the frame but doesn't bow them at the edges or top and bottom. Sigma 15~30mm at 15mm Zenitar 16mm Walker

Any color will do if it is black, o was it so? That yellow makes an exception, it looks wonderfull. I can not restrain me from making a guess that the picture is taken somewhere in Georgia. The environment is sssooouu Georgian Looks like Marta is rolling on the background. Thank you for shearing this picture Reijo

Reijo, it was indeed taken in Georgia..... Warner Robins, Georgia, to be exact.
And it's true that Henry Ford was quoted as saying "Give them any color they want so long as it's black!" He also opposed the over head valve V8 engine and Ford wasn't able to introduce one until after his death. Henry was a wonderful engineer but not always a smart business man.
