I was wandering around the stable a few days ago and looking for shots. Up on the hill one of the horses and her owner were out for a bit of a walk. I liked the composition. Camera: Nikon F100 with 24-85 AF-S lens on Fuji Superia 400. Set at about 50mm with F8 Slight corrections in PS Phil

I too like the composition, the sloping hill, the dark rocks in the left foreground balancing the dark trees which make the horse and owner stand out. I also like the bright bands of colour in the foreground and in the green grass. Very nice shot Phil, and well spotted.

Phil: I also really like the composition, but wonder what this shot would look like with just a little more contrast. There don't seem to be any rich blacks! Perhaps they were softened in those slight PS corrections?

I see what you mean. Maybe I can increase the contrast a bit more. In the original scanned print, the rocks have some good blacks in them. I will try to improve on it. Thanks for the suggestion Phil
