OK, guys...I can take a hint. So here you have pic 4 of my neighbor Jenny.
This shot was one of a series she and I did this past summer. It turned out to be my and her favorite of about 5 good ones.
It also was challenging with the extreme contrast. Experimented with fill flash and without. I did use small amount of fill with this particular frame as you can see by the slight brightness on her right calf, ankles and back of her upper arms. I find fill does not always smooth out completely(at least for me), but rather does leave some noticeable hint. In fact, I am sure that is why R. Herron thought I had used some fill/reflective device on pic 1 of her in the other thread.
In addition to the nontraditional type pose we liked the composition in general. The sloping grass line in front of the trees, the patterns of the shadows, the small amount of leaves in the foreground as fall was approaching, the background/foreground contrast as it surrounded her, her being slightly off center to the left and her face just slightly showing rather than a full back shot of her head.
Yes...she had a nice tan and her hair streaked with some color and with that slight wind-blown look.
Working with her is advantageous and fun for both of us. We both enjoy photography, but on opposite sides of the lens. I get to make some shots not ordinarily available and she gets some buildup for her modeling portfolio. Neither charges the other and she/husband and I/Jeanneatte are friends.
She is soooo natural in her moves and poses...that makes the picture taking a lot easier than having to prompt someone what to do.
IMHO this is a perfectly exposed and composed shot. I don't make too many comments like that about most of my shots. But only 5 of the 24 frame roll were keepers.
Techs: Nikon N80, 105/2.8 Nikkor, SB 28, Manfrotto tripod(when used), Stroboframe Folding Flip Bracket and Fuji Superia 100. I never note f stops and shutter speeds.
Here...comes Jenny...
