We took advantage of the warmer weather and sunny skies this weekend to get out and take a few pics. These are from my minolta hi-matic 9. Tilton Memorial Arch. A large monument that sits on top of a hill in the town next to us. The Lion in the Center of the Arch.... The Catholic Church... Second story windows to one of the storefronts... Every time I take the rangefinder out, I grumble to Bob about how much I hate using it....but I always seem to get more than a few shots that I like from it, go figure. Sherri

Very sharp pictures Sherri, you'd do well to keep using the rangefinder! I like the first and last pictures, and the new Avitar also.

Sherri,
A very nice avatar...the couple looks so cute together!!
The first photo is my favorite. I really like angle you shot from and the varying shades of blue in the sky.

Number 4. Know a little about our architecture (mainly Norman to Romanesque!) but what style would you call that? 'Surprised' maybe??
You're doing great things with the rangefinders Sherri. The exposure meter on that one is spot on - or do you supplement it with a hand held light meter?
Regards - John

Charles E. Tilton also donated what is perhaps the most notable landmark in the area, the hilltop Memorial Arch. The Roman arch replica was built in the late 1800s as a memorial to his ancestors. The arch is built of Concord granite, 50 feet high and 40 feet wide. Ironically, the Tilton Arch is actually located across the Winnipesaukee River, in the neighboring town of Northfield.
