In a different pond from the swan (or maybe it's the same one...it's separated from the other by enough distance to be different, but I suppose they could be connected), I found this delightful little family. Papa Goose was not all that delighted with me, however. While Momma herded the kiddies down into the water by the drain pipes, Papa made certain I knew he was not too happy with my being there. Right after this one was shot, Papa made a noisy flapping run at me! I retreated to the safety of my car, and decided to leave the little family in peace!

Ron, A very wise decision. I have a healthy respect for those critters, especially when they are in "delightful little family" groups. Mickey

When I was a kid our neighbors had a flock of gray geese who terrified me and my playmates.

Very nice! I like the reflections and the clean appearance of the photos. Thanks, Randy. I actually like overcast days for pictures like this. The colors (in this case, green ) seem more intense somehow, when not blasted with too much light! The water was perfect, too. Real still (the only motion coming from the rain run-off at the drain). Nice for reflections. I hope I can find a day like this again in the fall, when those trees have turned!
