This is not the pond with the dock...but the runoff area of the local strip mall, in front of the Kroger grocery store! The area was a small protected wetland area before the shops were built, and the builder was forced to keep it.
It's become a rather nice area in the community. There are ducks, snapping turtles, and other wildlife in here (just not in my picture)!
