Beautiful tiger lily. I've been combing the garden catalogs for bulbs, since I have a clear memory of my grandmother's flower beds, one of which was full of tiger lilies. Now that I have a yard of my own, I'd love to have some out there, glad to see it still exists.
It amazes me how many of the same flowers we actually have with you being in LA and me being up here in a zone 4 planting area. It's an education, that's for sure.

You motivated me to take my Minolta SRT Super and a Macro Lens after our Tiger Lilies today. I also took my 51 year old Minolta "A" Rangefinder out and shot a few of them also. Maybe I'll sneak out with the Kodak Easyshare too. It got really muggy here this afternoon so we had to take cover because we both have asthma.
