When I see this flower I always wonder how it got the name. For I think of a tiger as being something that makes me wary, alert as I would view it's fineness. However the flower has always given me a peaceful frame of mind as I enjoy its beauty.

I'm becoming a bit of a gardener and if you don't mind me commenting, I think this is actually Day Lily. We have both and the tiger lilies are much deeper orange and spotted (so why aren't they called leopard lilies??)

You're right about Tiger Lilies having spots. How grateful Fearless Leader is going to be!! LOL!
Think you'll find that Tiger Lilies originated in China. No leopards.....
