Nicely seen and taken, Gene. I must have walked past hundreds of similar young trees during reaforestation (ugly word!) and never reached for the camera. I must have been blind, or sleepwalking!. Peter W.

Looks a little on the weak side for the leaves. We planted a number of bushes and trees this year and the hot weather here has been rough on them. Our two new Japanese Red Maples are doing exceptionally poor. I think when our son watered them one day, he sprayed the leaves and, the sun being out strong, they got burned.
Our spring/summer landscaping project is almost done for the most part. Bushes, trees, large rock garden and widening the drivewqay. Filling in the lawn where the tractor wheels tore it up will be more of a fall project...bring in more dirt and replant grass.
Will have to take a pic of the finished part and post it.
