Bob:
Idaho has 50 mountain peaks over 10,000 feet. Mt. Borah, the tallest, is 12,662 feet. I'm way behind your wife--I haven't climbed any of 'em although I have driven up a few. I also drove to the top of Pikes Peak in Colorado a few years ago (14,100 feet) and there are a lot more mountains in that state as tall or taller.
Even given those statistics, I always have wanted to visit your area and your mountains. The biggest mountains aren't necessarily the most picturesque.

Wayne
Wow!!! I looked up online and found that I believe Idaho has 100 peaks over 11,000 ft. Wow!!!!!!
Funny, Sherri and I would love to someday visit your state and enjoy some of those mountains!!!
And yes what you said is true......and I am told that New Hampshire does have some of the most picturesque mountains. I am awed by their beauty!

Come on, Wayne...
Quit bragging!! We true and reared Easterners still refer to our higher elevated land as "mountains"...a 'foothill' would be a ant hill...LOL...!
I remember when I first went to Washington State and interviewed for a transfer to the plant in Kennewick.
Two things impressed me:
1. I flew for the first time in one of "Hughe's Air Worst" Fairchilds through a dust storm. For those unfamiliar with that plane, it is held together with celephane tape and bailing wire. The engines also hang down under the wing and if you are in the seat nearest them, that rapidly whirling propellar appears to be only inches from your face. And...the whole plane vibrates like it is about ready to fall apart. The pilots even had on parachutes under their jackets...at least that was the rumor...LOL...!
2. The plant manager was driving me to Grandview where a satalite plant was located and in the distance Mt. Ranier could be seen, large as life(for lack of a better description). He asked me how far away I thought we were from the mountain and I said 25-30 miles. He then stated he I should be glad the question was not part of the continency of his wanting me on his staff, as it was about 150 miles away.
Yes...I got the transfer and spent 4 fabulolus years there as quality assurance manager of the Welch Foods plant and enjoying the beautiful northwest of our country. Unfortunately, I did too good a job and was tansferred to New York State to the corporate quality assurance office. But that is also a great place to live.
Hey, Bob...
Why no pic of you and Tony together? I am sure you could have found some person...or bear...who would have done the honors for us!!

Bob, I do have them developed. Even sprung for the disk so I didnt have to scan them. Now I just need my wife to remember to bring them home from work! I do have a real good argument for digital over film. Its when you pay for developing and 2 of the5 rolls are ruined by a scratch in the negitive, totally across every frame. Now, I have about 35 of the 48 photo's are scared for life. Yes I know, I could scan them and touch them up. But thats not what I paid for, is it? If I took all those photo's with my digital camera, then they would have been uploaded here weeks ago.
