Two weeks ago I've been out in the Bavarian Alps. On a saturday
morning wheather was fine, and I went out to a small valley where
in spring a lot of melting water comes down. I knew the location,
and so I shurely had my Gitzo and a pack of Rokkor glass with me -
albeit I only used 50, 35 and 90mm. My blue XD-7 was loaded with a
fresh roll of Fuji Velvia 50.
This was the highest point I came to (I didn't have more than an
hour time :-( , since the reason of the voyage wasn't a phototour).
I came up to this point:
Taken with my Tokina AT-X 2.5/90 Macro - one of my best lenses!
where I turned around and only stopped at some places I spotted
on my way up. First of all I never had the opportunity to photograph
such beautifully falling water (I am a photo novice):
Taken with a MC Rokkor-PG 1.4/50, my reliable workhorse
On the second one, I spend a few minutes to get some disturbing
broken branches out of the picture:
MD W.Rokkor 1.8/35
This is how my way back to the valley looked like:
MD W.Rokkor 1.8/35
Finally I spotted a little dam, apparently used to feed the water
to different taps, where the power of the water could be used:
I used my tripod for all pictures, and I allways had a polarizer
on the lens. I polished all of the pictures a bit in PS after having
them scanned. I got the impression I did a wee bit underexpose
the original shots. I made than lighter using curves adjustment
rather than using the Brightness/Contrast control, which doesn't
please my eyes.
It was a very pleasing walk.
Best regards & Thanks for looking (feedback highly appretiated)
