Dear fellow camera collectors, this is the photographic report from day 4 - the day I had to give my talk. So there are only a few pictures from the early morning. I took the metro towards the South (where the conference location was at the Ecole Normale Superior de Technoloquies Advancees, ENSTA for short). I left metro at Varenne to catch a first peek at the Dome des Invalides... Minolta XD-7, MD W. Rokkor 2.8/35, exposure unrecorded I walked on to catch it straight from the front... Minolta XD-7, MD W. Rokkor 2.8/24, ploarizer, exposure unrecorded This is a huge building. See how tiny the lorry seems beside the dome. I walked than on to the Champs de Mars... ... I used first the normal lens with a polarizer - I think this is the classic view to the tower. I approached it more, and used now the 2.8/24 - that oldie lens, I had been about to throw away (due to fungus as I already mentioned). The really impressive thing on this picture can be seen when zooming out a small area on the lower right side: One can even see the belts, those guys use to belay themselves! Then I had to hurry... Best regard Peter

Nice shots. The Tour Eiffel is still, and will always be, unbelievable.
