"Don't Laugh At Me" Mac's Souvenir Shop, Key West, Florida. Taken July 16th while on vacation. Had just gotten back from a day trip snorkeling and touring Dry Tortugas National Park. Minolta XG-1, Sigma 35-80mm zoom lens, Vivitar 252 flash unit, Fuji Velvia 100 slide film. No photoshop used.

That is a beautifully exposed, very interesting shot. I am sure I would enjoy browsing through that shop. Are those mothballs or hail or marbles or petals on the ground?

Kamera, thank you! I figured that was the poor old truck talking....if he could! If I was able, I would've bought that beautiful beaten up jalopy! Although I don't think Mac's people would sell it. I thought those shrunken heads in the display on the left there were really funny and sort of "laughing" at the old heap in front of them. I felt bad for the poor old junker. I had to have my brother-in-law stop the car so I could jump out and shoot, while everyone moaned that "didn't you take enough pictures already!".....they'll never understand, will they? Mickeyobe, thank you for the compliment! That shop looks awesome, although I didn't even have a chance to browse, but since my wife's sister lives in the Florida Keys, next time we go down later this year, I'll check it out for sure. Looked like there were tons of tshirts, shorts, shoes, and doodads in there. I really like those shrunken head yard ornaments or whatever they are....a laughing shrunken head on a string. On the ground there, I believe that was gravel rocks from the edge of the sidewalk that's been kicked around.
