Dear fellow camera collectors,
On a sunny sunday afternoon a few weeks ago we made a visit to a gorge at the
outscirts of the Alps. We went up by teleferic (as usual :-) ) in a short ride
from 450m to 950m altitude in a few minutes. And could enjoy a great view over
the valley of the river Rhine.
1. Dornbirn
MC W.Rokkor 1.8/35, F/8, support from a railing, Kodak Elitechrome 100
detail looks very good, even at the scanned (4000 dpi) picture.
The teleferic comes up from the lower right corner of the picture.
For the first meters we hiked along the steep ...
2. On the edge (same lens etc...)
... and through the woods ...
3. Drinking Trough
had difficulties here, since I did not carry the tripod :-(
(same lens open to F/2.8, which was not enough)
... until we got to the ravine.
4. Rappenloch Schlucht (I)
MD VFC Rokkor 2.8/24, F ca. 4, handheld at 1/30, picture is unsharp.
Most likely both shake and DoF (had to guess focus, since it was too
dark, and people behind me made me hurry).
5. Rappenloch Schlucht (II)
Same lens, some troubles.
I hope I get there again while having good light and a tripod...
it would be worth the effort.
Best regards
Peter
