This is the common one R, Heron. Not the unusual, two R, variety! I was able to walk up to within 20 feet of this one before it flew away. Taken at sunset on the St. Sebastian River in Roseland, FL. FujiFilm 200, 1/250 @ f~5.6, Yashica TL Electro-X, 50/1.7 Yashinon.

Excellent shot, nice and sharp. I had a gull laugh at me recently...that never happened before!

Dave: Indeed they do. The heron was two pilings closer, then saw I was carrying a Yashica.
