I've had my new digicam (Canon A620) less than a week and it's already become my constant companion on my rehab walks. At this time of year there are a lot of spring flowers in bloom and I can't resist shooting them up close. The tilt & swivel LCD display lets me place the camera down low, TLR style, without having to get down to eyeball level with the flowers. In fact if I tried to, I'd probably still be there ;D Yellow Tulip (Interior) Yellow Tulip (Exterior) Dandelion at Sunset Tulips at Sunset Gene

Gene: You have some great macros of your own! ;D I particularly like that tulip (exterior) and the dandelion (that hint of a horizon really makes the shot for me)! Very nicely done!My only problem with most flower macros is getting up off the ground, once I've taken them! My knees just ain't what they used to be!

Hey Ron, thanks kindly. It's almost too easy with this little digicam. When I have my SLR in macro mode, I have to work really hard Gene

I like the dandilion at sunset too. I had a nose full of those puffs tuesday when I was mowing. Don't feel bad guys, I can't get back up either. ;D

Ron, I find getting down's no problem. Getting up again's the hard part LOL!I'm afraid I'm paying these days for all my high school sports participation...although it's more likely my knees got this way from "discovering" soccer (futbol to purists) in my 30s. I played on men's teams (keeper) and was a certified FIFA referee for nine seasons. Gave it all up in my mid-40s when my knees would no longer cooperate. These days, getting down is sometimes a problem, too. Although I have to agree with you, Peter, getting up is always a more involved activity!

It sounds as if we all belong to the 'down is easier than up' group. Sigh.. remember how easy it was when you were in your 20's??

Down is definitely easier than up...but even it's getting harder to do! ...and I'd even settle for late 30s, early 40s again!
