That's a very nicely taken picture Gene. I've seen that plant lots of times growing wild but never knew its name. Is it the same Tansy as the one from which the leaves are used as a cooking herb?

Peter, Bob, thanks! Peter, I only learned the name of the plant this year and don't know much else about it, but googling the name I found the plant's other common names "include Bitter button, Cow bitter, Golden button, and Mugwort." It has been used medicinally, but carefully. It appears to contain a powerful toxin. I found an interesting article about it in Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TansyGene |
