Taken from the top deck, as our ship sailed out of Venice...(it feels good saying that)! © Ron Herron Canon 300-D with 18-55mm zoom.

Ron, you're making me jealous! What a nice view of Venice.

Thanks, Gene. There were so many neat photo opportunities on this vacation! I'm still trying to get my arms around all of them. We may never do something like this again, so I am really trying to cull the many hundreds of shots into something showcasing just the best of them. This shot of Venice is not the typical shot people think of (no gondolas! )...but I was really delighted with it.

Great picture Ron.
Never made it to Venice, but it reminds me of my mother, who went there on holiday. When she returned, she got a local painter to paint a picture from a postcard of that skyline. Trouble was, he got those little triangles at the top of the Campanile the wrong colour. Drove her crazy - eventually she had to take it down as she couldn't stand to look at it knowing it was wrong.
Just goes to show - always get your colours right!
Regards - John
