Nice pix, Randy. The light that time of day was perfect for it. Looks almost like someone drove it to the spot!

They drove it there from the flatbed trailer. The picture was taken a few hours after an intense rain, I think the rain washed away the tracks. I took these the same day I got my Kodak Easyshare, in fact, it was on the way home from the store!

That's the coolest-looking tractor I've seen. What a machine! You could switch the wheels to fit on the tracks and I'll bet this rig could take you to Des Moines...

Randy, If you like old steam traction engines how about this one? I took it oh, must be 20 years ago in the warm sunlight of late afternoon in September on Brighton seafront at an event organised by the Historic Commercial Vehicle Society. PeterW

Yes, I was reading about those in a UK traction magazine, a road engine? Very cool Peter.

Very nice shots of your Case Steam tractor.....the colors are vibrant. Are they fairly accurate colors too?

Steam tractors are very interesting and so are the photos. I hope to see one actually in operation some day. I never pass up the rare opertunities that I have had to photograph these. It seems that in the UK there is greater interest in preserving and operating these wonderful machines than in North America.

Oh boy...
I remember perfectly attending a steam engine show. And I sure was glad I put up the top on the convertible.
Black dust everywhere!! But seeing these old machines work was quite neat.
