Got caught in a downpour just as I was leaving Starbucks yesterday morning, shortly after dawn. I had a couple of cams with me -- Nikon FM2 and my digital sidekick, Canon S3, so I did a little shooting. Here are some of the digi shots (the Tri-X is still in the Nikon). Lighthouse across the street while standing under a protective patio cover Raindrops on lighthouse stair rail Raindrop falling from bottom of a lighthouse stair step Gene

Nice pictures Gene. Once again you've shown us all how to find great pictures wherever you are and whatever the weather. No excuses for anyone any more.
Great stuff! It makes me wish I could get out more with a camera and think with regret about all the opportunities I must have missed over the years.
Thanks for keeping posting these examples to us all.

What time does your local Starbucks open for goodness' sake? In my town dawn is about 05.00 at the moment. You can't get a cuppa anywhere before the streets are aired - about 08.30 and bright daylight with the kids on their way to school. Or does it get light very late in your neck of the woods?

Thanks Peter. When you cast your eye on a globe or map Toronto is MUCH farther south than England, even though our climate is different. I just checked my weather page and sunrise is at 6:51 tomorrow morning. Starbucks opens at 6:30 and given it's right on my walking route, that's too convenient and coincidental to ignore so I often have a morning cuppa there. Motorists stop, grab something to cheer them on, and get back into their cars, but there is a group of regulars I see in there in the mornings. They also provide all the day's local papers for reading. Coffee costs more there, but it's very civilized Gene
