Great pictures Bob!
I love the textures and colours of the rocks. I also like the 'liveliness' of your last shot. There are some on here who'll disagree with me!
The berries are beautiful. And the second shot is intriguing. Would that be what we call a 'trig point' over here? Our maps are made by the 'Ordnance Survey' - as it sounds, they are technically a branch of the military. They leave 'trig points' around the place - notably on the top of hills, or in open areas.

John I don't know if it is called a "trig point" but it is one of the boundry markers for the Canada/USA border. More info is here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States-Canada_border . Being fall and with the lack of rain this summer the falls in the last picture are a pale shadow of what you would normally see in the spring. High Falls, appropriately named as it is the highest falls in Minnesota, is on the Pigeon River which forms part of the boundry between Can/US in our area. The other falls is Middle Falls on the same river and was the site of a provincial park now left abandoned/unused. The berries, rose hips?, were about the only colour left. Bob

Randy
Thanks. That is the great part of living here, the scenery. That is also why I never really got into people photography like so many RF people.
