Just happened on this lone locust seed pod at the park. It is so nice to have not had any snow yet. I shot this in color, but it did not look as good as the B&W. ist DS, 80mm set at macro, iso 400.

I've been trying to imagine this shot in colour and I have to agree - B&W is better here.

It's good, but it doesn't have quite the same impact in colour.

Sorry to be awkward but I prefer the colour shot in this instance. I like the way the brown and orange colours of the leaves emphasise that it's autumn.
