Really nice shots, Rick. That male Cardinal, I think, is telling you that he owns that territory and for you to go find your own little Chickadee. LOL
I have two Sigma zooms for my Pentax *ist-DS and they are very good IMO. Your 400mm Sigma seems to be excellent. Sigma isn't cheap but they seem to be worth the price we pay.

I just saw the same lens, Pentax mount, go for $150 on Ebay. It was listed under the Canon AF lenses

Lovely photos and well composed. The red of the Cardinel (I think that is what it is but I am not sure) really stands out without being over done.

Thanks. I don't over saturate and try to stay the way my eye saw it. The Canon sensor seems to have nice color as is
