I did have a blast, even though they lost. The experience was worth the discomfort. It was COLDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I got some great photos and some were even run by the local paper. I submited some to Sports Illustrated and some to AP. Not expecting anything but it does get my name out. I will have some to post before long, I have to see which are picked up. I made it out of Chicago on time, I was on a puddle jumper to St. Louis, but the team got delayed because of ice on the runway. My flight left just long enough for me to get to the airport after the game. I did not get to stay for the after game press event but I was the second shooter anyway. I did gain some invaluable experience and learned there is a big difference, in speed of the game, from High school and college sports. I was not pepared for how fast a play unfolded but a nice gentleman took me under hid wing and by the second half I was getting some good shots. The paper was so pleased that they said there would be other assignments

Rick, a beautiful photo and congratulations on being sent to cover the playoff game! What a great experience for you -- I'll bet you'll never forget it.

Rick, that's an image that should be hanging on the walls of homes where fine photography is appreciated. It's exceptional.
