Very nice. He does look like he's ticked. I want to get into the bird business when my camera hets here and my 300mm nikkor becomes 400mm. We don't have cardinals in this area, however.

Wayne. I have tried a 300 but you have to be mighty close. This was about 25 feet and it is still a 48% crop.

Nope, actually just sitting on a stump waiting by the feeders. They take about 5-10 minutes to come back. I have some trees and bushes near them they land in.
