I had a delightful walk today. It was snowing very lightly and the sky was dark, but it was very mild and there was little wind. For the first time in a few weeks I was able to walk along the shore of Lake Ontario. The paths were so icy before that I couldn't walk on them. In this shot a dollop of snow has topped up the ice formations. In the background is the breakwater ship Ridgetown. Taken with Canon SD700 IS digicam. Gene

Great picture Gene. Every day you make me a bit more aware of the quality you can achieve with digital. Keep up the good work.

For a mild day it looks verrry cold.
Is a breakwater ship resting on the bottom to stop wave action?

Incredible icicles. You were there at the right moment - a puff of wind and they're shattered

Really beautiful picture. The snow is white as it should be. SidW is right, you were there at the right moment.

Randy, Curt, Mickey, Sid, Reijo, Wayne, thanks for your kind comments.
Curt, I should have mentioned that I had just finished putting a roll of film through a Pentax Super Program when I pulled out my digital to finish my shooting.
Mickey, yes, it's sunk to the lake bed to provide a breakwater for the Port Credit marina.
Wayne, it looked cold, but it was a mild, pleasant day. And even warmer today. We live in hope ...
