Snow/Sleet/Freezing rain/Thaw

Some results of our storm of a couple of days ago.

FIRST CAME THE SNOW.

Branches and trees were knocked down.

The horses seemed to enjoy it.

The city thoughtfully clears our roads and sidewalks. The easy way.


THEN SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN
Basketball net.

The pines can tolerate even frozen needles.

So too, it seems, can the fruit tree buds.


THEN CAME THE THAW
Icicles everywhere.

Puddles everywhere.

Lichen provide a touch of colour in an almost monochrome landscape .
