Just returned from our Alaska cruise. Belated thanks to everyone for your kind birthday wishes! This was taken with a Canon S3 IS digicam at full zoom, or about 420mm tele equivalent. A mountainside detail in Tracy Arms Inlet. Gene

Gene:
Beautiful! When we went up Tracy's Arm there was still ice and we couldn't go all the way to the top. What ship were you on?

beautiful shot! I love pictures of foggy landscapes. I just never seem to get the exposure right though. Guess I'll have to play with my digicam more.
Love the b&w

Gene, that's a marvelous shot. It deserves to be printed at least 16 x 20 and hanging on your living room wall. Seriously.

Yup - that one worked!! Not going to ask if there are any more, expect we'll see them all in the fullness of time!

Wayne, we were on the Zuiderdam, Holland America line. Galen, thanks -- believe me Photoshop helps. I rarely get the exact exposure I want. I can understand why you thought it was a B&W image. The colour is very muted. Walker, thank you. You made my day! Peter, thanks -- glad to be home again. John, thank you, and the fullness of time is exactly how long it's going to take me to get additional scenic shots prepped. Between Marion and me we took over 2000 images (including all the ones that now need to be culled, of course). I worked on them for two hours this evening and only finished sorting through our Vancouver shots. Tomorrow we board ship Gene

Gene
Great to see you back on line with a wonderful photo to boot, but what else would I expect? I will be waiting to see more.

Gene: Every time you post a picture, my envy quotient goes up considerably. It's off the scale with this one. What a marvelous image!
