It was a rainy day today. I didn't walk far -- only as far as the local Second Cup coffee shop -- and took this pic of the wet patio and sidewalk with a pocket digicam (Canon SD700 IS). I'm recuperating a bit from Tuesday's adventure, when I was wheeled out of Starbucks on a gurney. Sigh. For anyone interested, here's the story: starbuckguy.livejournal.com/1657.htmlGene

Welcome back Gene, good to see you're on your feet again with a firm grip on your camera.

Gene, I'm surely glad that you're feeling OK now. Hopefully it was a one-time thing!
Few pictures taken in the rain turn out as nicely as that one. It looks wet enough to dive into and you found very interesting converging lines too. You never stop amazing me with the every day things you turn into outstanding photographs.

Gene . Every time you post a photo--film or digital--you prove again that you are the Master. I suspect you would get the same kind of results if you used an Etch-A-Sketch.
Welocme back.

Gene,
I am glad you are feeling better. That was an awful experience. However it does not seem to have damaged your photographic vision. What a stunning picture. But what has it done to your taste buds? Have you really switched from Starbucks to Second Cup?
Stay well.

Gene: Your guardian angel made sure your "incident" happened at a place you were well known, and at time when it was well populated (why do you think you were later than usual). He must have an appreciation for a good photographer, too. New meds can have nasty effects sometimes. Hope that gets straightened out soon...being gurneyed out of Starbucks is no way to spend your morning. Seriously, extremely glad to know you're feeling better, even if you have to settle for Second Cup coffee. And (as always) your eye for an image is unfailing. If you have any Etch-A-Sketch images, please send them to Wayne...I don't want to know you're outstanding at that, too. I'm still shaking my head at your uncanny photo vision. Make that book, Gene . . . and stay well!

Gene, glad to have you back and up and about again
I've been taking pictures for more years now than I want to remember, and I STILL walk past the type of pictures you see, but without appreciating the possibilities. (GRRRRR!).
Seriously, take care of yourself and relax with the writing. Don't try too hard with it. Writing should flow, just as it comes. You can always go back and edit it later.

I can't add to what has been said except to say hang in there and get your meds sorted. Your images are always pleasing.
