Wayne
He caught it at just the right time for a good combination waning daylight and the lights being on. Ottawa can be picturesque as this proves.

Wayne,
That is one of the nicest night shots I have ever seen of Ottawa and the Rideau Canal. Ottawa is a very beautiful city.

The Guinness Book of Records recognizes The Rideau Canal Skateway is the world's largest naturally frozen ice skating rink at 7.8 km (4.84 miles). It has been cleared for skating since 1971. The Winterlude Carnival is held there every winter.

Wayne - is this a crop or a panoramic? The aspect ratio seems too high for a normal shot.
Nice though. Can't make out any skaters!

John:
I think the camera can be switched to 16:9 aspect. Also of the digitals to that now to matxh the new TV screens.
