Gene: Subtle tonality. If my office monitor was set properly, it might look like less like a blank white screen! LOL!! ;D
I can only surmise you are buried in it! (we had over a foot on Sunday)

A quite remarkable high-key picture, Gene. Thanks for posting it. The subject and the high key suggest rest, a wilderness. But the strong diagonal spearhead composition suggests movement, as if an arctic north-east gale is blowing. I half-expect to see something like a Yeti - the Abominable Snowman - appear in the top right corner. It's sort of haunting, like looking for pictures in the red embers of a coal fire when I was a child. I find I go back again and again to have look at it.

Gene, that's a remarkable shot. I imagine that it's what it's like to be in a white-out situation. An unusual and striking image.
