Most of you know I am a fan of big long lenses. i also have a network of internet friends that to enjoy using big Canon FD glass. From time to time we will swap, buy and sell This wknd. I got the lens of my dreams The Canon 600 f4.5L I sold my 500 f4.5L as since I had the 400 f2.8 it was rather redundant. I actually got more for it than I paid for the 600. In another move. I sold my sigma 400 f5.6 and my 300 f4 canon to get this Canon 400mm f4.5 and thought I would include a shot of my 300 f2.8L As soon as I get one of my 400 f2.8L I will post it.

Totally cool lenses, and IMPRESSIVE, but I gotta tell ya, my back hurts just looking at them. That's why the Cardiac Kid bought a little zoomable S3 digi instead Gene

Thanks, Gene. This is the reason I have the little electric golf cart with off road tires and a full camo job. I can sneak close without having to carry them very far.

Wow, massive glass. As Gene said, my back hurts just looking at them. Absolutely cool though. Best glass I ever foolishly passed up was a 1000 f8 Pentax telephoto. Since that was 20+ years ago I should have forgotten by now BUT... at the time I mainly used Pentax SLR's and this lens had a Canon FD mount so no good to me I thought. I watched the owner's grandson wipe his sleeve on the front element to show someone how it was cool as a telescope. Then left as it sold for...$75 Can.

Rick: Wow is right! LOTS of massive glass! I have several long lenses, like the 400mm lens for my DTL series, but I almost never use them anymore! Too much to lug around, and I'm usually taking landscapes, not locating far off forest critters!
But I have to confess to a slight bit of lens envy. Those are impressive!

Rick,
All I can do is drool...what a great collection of looooonnnng lenses!!
I am still trying to decide how much use I would get out of the Sigma 600 mirror you seem to like.
Just a fancied-up golf cart??? What about a human porter???

I don't have a human porter, anymore. My Dr. said I had to lose weight and reduce the stress in my life so I got rid of a 160 pound wife. ;-)
