Hey there all, Well I was able to get the 1.4 58mm lens' blades clean, and I was able to get the fungus off the 1.7 50mm lens. I alternated bathing the 58mm's blades with Ronsonol, and then using a very, very light stream of air (so as to not wreck the blades), and some TP to absorb the thinned out oil till the blades operated at all f/stops. Only bad thing that happened was I lost the tiny spring that allows the aperture ring to click on the stops. I used H2O2 on the fungus in the 50mm, and it seems to be gone. Time will tell if this is permanent.
Have a good one, Ed

I use a 50-50 solution of regular household ammonia and hydrogen peroxide to clean the fungus off lenses. Works great. I never thought of using just the H2O2 all by itself, but I suppose it would do a decent job too...and if the fungus hasn't been on there long enough to etch the glass or the coatings, you should be good to go!
