I just obtained a nice clean and working Agfa Optima Ia with a fine case. Seems that the meter auto system works. I need to check with film.
One site indicated that this was the first auto exposure camera ever made. It also contained a roll of exposed film and I'm interested to see if anything is there.
Does anyone have some info or opinions on this camera?

You have certainly got information about Ia by now. I have Optima Ia in my collection and I have used one many years ago. Not much to say about it anyhow. Technically taken I got good pictures with it because the lens is better than a contemporary average. As a construction it is good if not excellent but the weakness in the material used. The plastic is hard and breaks easily. lauro.fi/agfaopt1a.htm
