Just a shot to both try my new Kodak C340 Digital and to show my 1946 DAN (later became Yamato Kogyo who made Pax cameras) Model 1. Fully functional and still has a roll of "found film" exposed and rolled inside. Local labs won't develop though as it's Bolta sized film (paper backed 35 mm without perforation holes). Found one place to develop it, but at $50 it's a bit too pricey. Size is relative to the two SR44 batteries it's propped up with. Sorry about the excessive sharpening adding grain.

Interesting camera. Don't think I've ever seen one before. Is the film color of B&W. If it's the latter a standard 35mm reel would work for developing. If it's color neg, a lot of "found film" guys just develop it with B&W developer.

Hi Wayne, Just standard black and white film. Local yokels won't touch it though so guess I'll have to attempt it myself. Other choice might be to send it to Gene M. on Photo.Net and see if he can do anything with it. Problem is I need the spool as I'm debating rewinding some B&W 35mm on it and simply taping over the red viewing window on the camera back.

If you wanted to drop it in the mail I could process it for you. I do B&W almost every weekend.

Hi Steve, Thanks for the offer. I've got a few other rolls of "found film" I can send too if you'd like as I'll never process them and have plenty of spools. Would I be able to send some cash for your efforts or is there any piece of equipment you're looking for? Also I'd need to send a self addressed stamped box too as I still need the spool for the DAN. Please PM me your address if you'd like and I'll fire them in the mail on Monday. Thanks again Steve. Have a great weekend.

PM sent... go ahead and send whenever you like and I'll process them the following weekend. Like I said, I process almost every weekend and usually only a roll or so at a time so throwing more in the tank is no problem. Don't worry about sending any $$ or anything, but a self-addressed box would be good. Depending on how much you have, you could probably get away with one of the smaller USPS boxes (?) I'll get your stuff back in the mail the following week. If there's some stuff that turns out I may print a few if that's okay with you. It might be interesting to see what's on them. You can PM me here or via e-mail; sgrob@adelphia.net I live and die by the e-mail so it's quite a reliable way to contact me

In the mail and on its way to you Steve, Thanks. Now with Canada Post helping out you should receive them by Christmas or so, LOL. Feel free to print anything you'd like if there's any useable pictures. I've had some of these rolls for many years so you never know.
