I don't know anything at all about cannons but that is one heck of a tripod you have there.

Hello Forum, We are a diverse group with many similarities! My interests include:- Restoring furniture, wilderness bushwalking (check out my favorite photographer, Martin Hawes, a Tasmanian as well), gardening and good music like Bob segar and AC/DC (when I need a lift). Sorry, got no guns, do I still fit in?

Dave,
There is at least one other gunless guy in this group. Me. I try to keep quiet about it as I am sure my arguments would be shot down.

No guns here, either. I have my grandfather's .22 and his old 8-gauge shotgun ( huge barrel, that 8-gauge)...but they're actually over at my father's house (I guess, technically, that means he has his dad's old guns). My wife and I decided, a long time ago, that we didn't want them around while the boys were growing up. No need for them, in the city (despite what you might read about Detroit). The boys are grown...but we still don't see the need for them. I'm not a hunter. Went a few times with my grandfather, down in Tennessee...but I've never gone here in Michigan. I'm not against it...just never was interested. Would much rather shoot things with my cameras (much less mess to clean up).

Sorry, got no guns, do I still fit in? Dave Man, I LOVE Bob Segar! I have a .22 pistol I occasionally plink with and several inherited "long guns." I hunted when I was younger but haven't been out in the field since 1982. I think I would enjoy black powder target shooting with a muzzle-loading flintlock. A little more challenge there.

After almost 20 years of being required to have a firearm somewhere on my person any time I left my home, my interest in firearms has waned dramatically. I now own only two, both 22's, neither one of which has made a loud noise in over 15 years. I still have ccw priveleges, but have no interest in doing so, although at times I still find my right hand checking a non-existent holster! I went from being a badge-carrier to a mid-level manager for a huge retail chain, and at times on overnight shifts, I've momentarily wished I was carriyng ;D. Now my collector interests are film cameras and fishing reels. If I could afford it, I would return to flying, but must be content with watching and taking photos of aircraft----which ain't bad! Roy

All of us Brits are gunless by legislation (though you can have a shotgun if you want to kill rabbits!) However I do have a bow and a full set of arrows - does that count? I also run the Archery club's web site for my sins: www.castlearchers.orgCan put a few archery shoot photos up here if anybody is interested. Like Randy I also collect die cast 1/43 model cars, though I have halted for the past ten years, as I could no longer buy them for under a $! Paul Paul

mickeyobe to answer your question from way back in april about chainmail I make. Mine isn't used for butcher's gloves, but it's the same basic idea, only they're machine made.
