After my snide remarks about Leica glow in another thread I thought I had better post a photo taken with Leica gear as penance. No glow though. Taken with a IIIc and Sumitar lens wide open I think. Hand held with a prayer because of the slow shutter speed. Slight cheat though as I think this was a B&W conversion. Bob

We will 'excuse' the brand of camera used and just enjoy the shot!!!
Actually I do have a Leica IIIc but only used it once. I do not like that bottom loading.
Have one other Leica and that is one of the original Leicaflexes which is a dream maching and great to use.

How did I miss this one? Excellent shot, Bob! I would never consider a col shot converted to B&W a 'cheat'. It's whatever suits the subject better, and I think you made the perfect choice here.

Bob, that's a fine shot. It reminds me of a Fall morning in Western Maryland where ground fog/mist is frequent and heavy just like in your picture. The Summitar is an excellent lens, BTW, and if you ever decide that bottom loading is too much trouble, I'd be happy to give that IIIc a nice, comfortable home. Walker

Thanks guys.

How about a IIIf or IIf? I am kind of partial to the IIIc as it has the sharkskin valcunite and the usual chrome issues.
