Philipsburg Manor, Sleepy Hollow, NY. A small Historic 18th Century Landmark 25 miles north of NYC. There's a Mill, a Manor House, and a Barn. Last time I visited this place was in the mid 1970's on a class trip. Taken on August 11, 2007. Minolta XG1, Sigma 35-80mm lens, Kodak 400CN, Minolta 320x flash. The Dutch Barn The Mill The Manor House, built in 1750.

Peter S., thank you! Glad you liked them, I appreciate it. I used the 320x Minolta flash at full power because I was using a neutral density and a red filter on the Barn and the Manor house shots. The shutter speeds were down around 1/15 @f4 (wide open on my zoom lens). The flash is good up to 50ft with wide open lens but I think I had the aperature at f/5.6 and f/8 for those shots. The Mill shot I used only a yellow filter. ron, thank you very much!! Yea, the Headless Horseman did not make an appearance that day, although I got out of there before sundown for sure! Amityville, NY on Long Island is approximately 1hr from NYC.....with no traffic.....but fat chance of ever driving the Long Island Expressway (or anywhere on LI) without traffic.....it just doesn't ever happen, so a trip to Amityville I'd put at 1hr 45 to 2 hrs. But that's one house I'm not going near anyway!
