Here's some pictures from two rolls of out-dated Gekko MW 100 b&w film. It's a high contrast film. I kind of like the challenge of using it. First a couple of pictures taken with a Zorki 4 and a Jupiter-8 50mm/f2 lens. This one is the library steps at University of San Francisco, where I work. And this one is at the nearby Carmelite Chapel. Last is a picture taken with a Minolta SRT-201 and a Braun 28mm/f2.8 lens. Same film. This is in our University Center. The warm tone is from Corel Paint Shop Pro. I used 'auto adjust' to help the contrast and pick up the shadow detail. Thanks for looking, Michael

These are really fine shots, Michael. I like the tonality in all of them. The stairwell is my favourite.

Michael:
The shots, particularly the first one, are really outstand. As Gene pointed out the tone range from a high contrast film is remarkable. And getting that kind of performance out of old FSU gear is commendable.

Thanks, everyone! I've been using Corel Paintshop Pro on some of my photos lately, it definitely helped me get the most out of these lab scans.
