A long overdue checkin

Bob tells me he got a pm asking about my whereabouts...so I said I would stop by and say hello.
Ever since moving a year and a half ago and living with dialup, I don't have as much computer time...or maybe better to say I can't get as far in my computer time, as I used to. So I've had to make some choices about where I spend my time, and for the most part I stick with one of my scrapbooking groups because that's the one hobby I keep up with consistantly. The downside there is that the "award winning photo" contests are usually pictures of 2 year old billy with mommy's bra on his head (not funny, out of focus and poorly framed to boot) but I've found my little spot over there with the more mature, wiser, all-knowing women, lol.
We haven't been out to take as many pictures lately, though we did get out on sunday to a pretty spot up in the Notch and I've been on a couple of hiking trips recently with my mamiya. I'm just waiting for snapfish to work it's wonders and send those pics back to me.
I'll try to be a little better about checking in from time to time....

I've tried to interest my own dear wife in contributing, but she says one camera nut in the family is enough. "You've already infected Jeff (my son)!"

I was quick to point out that Jeff is a photographer, not a collector...but she didn't see the difference. "You both use cameras, and you both have more than one."

I gave up, since it was obvious I would only cause an argument I could never win! ;D

Wayne - it generally coincides with the times when they lock the kitchen drawers and make me use plastic knives and forks - don't know why that should be....
