New Year's Resolutions, Anyone?

It's that time of year again and this year I have two photographic New Year's resolutions:

1. Shoot more film, esp. MF B&W

2. Thin out my gear collection

My new year's resolution is the same as every year, one that I have been able to keep unfailingly year after year.

I SOLEMNLY RESOLVE NEVER TO MAKE ANY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS.

Mine are:

(1) Shoot more photos, period. Need to get out & enjoy the picture-taking portion of this hobby more than I have been....and

(2) Thin the collecting herd...too many cameras I just never use....and

(3) Lose weight (on the list for years, now...this is the year I do something about it....

last year I resolved to do two things. One was to exercise more, the other was to get the basement cleaned out and organized.
Well, my work hours changed slightly had me leaving earlier, getting home later. My treadmill bit the dust. And some how I can't find any of the stuff in my basement that needs to be organized....when I wasn't looking, someone piled tons of old audio equipment on top of the mess.
So this year I think I might pass on resolving to do anything, lol!

My resolution for the new year is to vigorously adopt Mickey's resolution philosophy through thick and thin. And maybe be non-commital as well...

Let's see.

1. Continue not smoking (it's been almost three months now).

2. Star losing some of the nearly 20 pounds I've gained frrom not smoking.

3. Keep saving the money from not smoking with the goal of owing a Nikon D300 by June.

Buy a Leica( M6 hopefully)
