This barn is all that remains of a farm on the outskirts of a growning city. It stands solitary watch as the subdivisions creep ever closer.

That is a very beautiful building. Could it not be saved for a community centre or a summer theatre or an antique market or, for future generations, just as a historical example of the wonderful structures of a bygone era?

I think the reason it still IS standing while a beautiful old two-story stone farmhouse has been torn down is because there at least was the intention to yse it as a centerpiece in a park. Unfortunately the housing boom in this area has come to a screeching halt and it may be several years before the ground around the barn is used for anything.
