I saw a Bell and Howell camera today at an antique shop it was an old one maybe 30 years old it wasn't a foton and I can't remember but I don't think it said canon on it any wear. I ran it through the shutter speeds and seemed to work fine. everything look clean no fungus and it didn't look like it had been damaged even the meter seemed to work. The old lady only wanted $15.oo for it. Is anyone here familiar with this camera and what do you think it's relay worth considering it in good condition? also was this a good camera when it first came out? I will be going back tomorrow to get it.

Hey Majicman - You're a Camera Collector now. Don't as questions, just buy, buy, buy! Only joking, but if it seems in nice condition I would say go for it. B & H made (make?) good lenses.
BTW 30 years old is a young camera - maybe another 30 years of wear out of one of those!
Regards - John

If it looks like a Canon, it's probably the Bell & Howell FD-35. A badge engineered version of the TLb/TX. Canon made these for B&H after ending their US distribution agreement. A few years after that, Bell & Howell took over U.S. distribution of Mamiya Sekor 35s and stopped selling the FD-35. It uses Canon FL and FD series lenses.

You could also be looking at either the Auto35/reflex (Canon EX/EE) fixed lens slr that uses auxillary lenses, the Dial 35 (Canon Dial 35) half frame 35mm or the Electric Eye 127 takes 4x4 images on 127 film. If it says Canon also it could be a Canonet 19 or 25QL, I have both and an Auto/35/reflex too. As your post quotes it having a meter, I'd guess either Auto35/Reflex or the TL clone.
