....I understand your situation. I take Percocet for my knees when they're bad (should be getting my knee scoped next week so I'll be out of commission for a few days) and it's another you don't really want to mix with beer. Although man can only live on water for so long, LOL......... Good luck with the scoping, Curt. Had my knees done a couple of years ago. I had beaten them up pretty badly with all the sports over the years, and the FIFA referreeing I did for nine seasons. They're mostly fine now, but the ortho says I'll be back before long to have the right one replaced. Whoopee...can hardly wait. Shoulder was rebuilt several years ago, after I messed it up badly in a fall. It's about 90-95%...but at least it doesn't hurt much (usually only when the weather changes). I've got medications for both, mostly anti-inflammatory stuff, but I don't take it unless I absolutely need it. Gets in the way of my fondness for single malt Scotch!

Ron, my Rhumatologist put me on Glucosamine-Condroitant a few years back and it's been a huge help with my joints. If there's any cartiledge left, it helps it to rebuild. I have better flexability in my fingers than I had before I began taking it and the pain is absent as well. I take the Osteo-Biflex triple strength G-C with MSM..... two pills a day. I think Wal-Mart sells it for about $26 for 80 pills. I only wish this stuff was around when my father's knees could have used it.

Walker: My brother-in-law (who still plays hardball on a work team at 55 -- he's the "old man" -- all the rest are in their 30s) swears by that glucosamine stuff. Guess I'll have to try it!
